Since ancient times, pearls, formed in a living organism, were regarded with wonder and awe as gifts from the gods. Natural pearls and their shells were used for adornment, often the sole privilege of royalty.

Now natural pearls are extremely rare, but we are blessed with an array of cultured saltwater and freshwater pearls. They glow with iridescent sheen in white, silver, gold, delicate pastels, and luxurious black.
